Introduced by his father at the age of three, Matt began fishing as a recreational past-time, which quickly grew into a way of life. At sixteen, and still spending countless days a year on the water and on the banks, Matt continued to follow his passion and was introduced to the tournament scene through the Peterborough Bassmasters and Campbellford Bassmasters, both clubs affiliated with B.A.S.S. While completing high school and with little funds, Matt began fishing from a small kayak, which has now grown into an obsession! During the summer months, when he isn't fishing, you'll see Matt on the CSFL stage weighing in countless numbers of fish and volunteering his time teaching youth the benefits of this crazy obsession we all call fishing. If you're looking for up-to-date information regarding CSFL tournaments, lake condition reports where Matt's fishing, and to also see pictures of fish caught, then become a friend on Facebook (Matthew Heayn) or follow him on Twitter(@MatthewHeayn).
